The aim of a Backgammon game is to move your pieces around the Backgammon board and bear those pieces off the game board faster than your competitor who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a game in Backgammon needsrequires both tactics and good luck. Just how far you will be able to shift your pieces is left to the numbers from rolling a pair of dice, and how you move your pieces are determined by your overall playing strategies. Enthusiasts use a number of strategies in the different parts of a match based on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Technique
The goal of the Running Game strategy is to bring all your checkers into your inner board and get them off as quick as you could. This strategy focuses on the speed of shifting your checkers with little or no efforts to hit or block your opponent’s pieces. The best scenario to employ this technique is when you believe you might be able to shift your own checkers faster than the opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer checkers on the game board; 2) all your pieces have moved beyond your opponent’s checkers; or 3) the opponent does not employ the hitting or blocking technique.
The Blocking Game Technique
The main goal of the blocking technique, by the title, is to stop the competitor’s pieces, temporarily, not worrying about moving your checkers rapidly. After you’ve created the barrier for the competitor’s movement with a few pieces, you can move your other chips swiftly off the board. You should also have an apparent strategy when to withdraw and move the chips that you used for the blockade. The game gets intriguing when the opposition utilizes the same blocking technique.
